Annie Heinrich

Annie is a final-year PhD candidate. She previously earned a BSc in astronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she worked on AGN feedback simulations. Her current research focuses on measuring gas motions in the ICM using a variety of techniques, including high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy and imaging. Annie is also a lead organizer in the UChicago A&A Community Engagement group, where she helps plan and run outreach events for students across the South Side, and IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Astronomy). Annie is a massive motorsports fan and can often be found playing soccer in her free time.
